Queen of Cumberland at Otter Bay Ferry Terminal
BC Ferries operates scheduled ferry services from both Tsawwassen (Vancouver) and Swartz Bay (Victoria) to Pender Island.

Inter island ferry services also operate between the Gulf Islands themselves - as opposed to sailings from Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

A bridge joins North and South Pender Islands, with ferry access to North Pender Island only.

Sailing Time: 2 hour 15 minutes between Tsawwassen (Vancouver) and Pender Islands
40 minutes between Swartz Bay (Victoria) and Pender Islands.

Sailings: 2 daily round trip sailings between Tsawwassen (Vancouver) and Pender Islands
5 daily round trip sailings between Swartz Bay (Victoria) and Pender Islands.

Reservations are recommended for travel between the Southern Gulf Islands and Tsawwassen.

Island Hopping
Travelling between the Southern Gulf Islands and Northern Gulf Islands can be accomplished in small hops. Each of these islands is a world unto itself, each with its own history, culture and colourful characters - each island deserves at least a day or two for exploring.
